Distorted Outputs in Mbox Pro (3rd gen)
My System is:
Mac Mini Late 2012 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 OS X 10.8.4 Pro Tools 10.3.5 Mbox Pro 3rd Gen My Problem: I have distorsion in my outputs. It's not a heavy distorsion, I mean, sound come out clear but in certain moments, especially when there are louder peaks I can hear some nasty distorsion. (like overdrive) I have tried all 6 outs and is the same everywhere. The thing is, I don't hear it working in Pro Tools, but watching Youtube or listening Spotify. I suspect is a sampler rate thing but I am not sure. This other thread talks about something similar but I don't know if it is the same thing. Some Mbox Pro user have the same issues? |

Quote:
Is this in every session you open or start or is it specific to one session? Is your master fader set to 0 dbfs and your music is not going over 0 or any peak lights are coming on. It could be sample rate but if you open a new session and started recording new files then its unlikely. if you opened files that were recorded on another system then it could possibly be sample rate. If start a new session and record some new audio clips, do they distort? Chris

Re: Distorted Outputs in Mbox Pro (3rd gen)
Like I said, I hear the problem mainly outside Pro Tools (for example in Youtube)
By the way, the machine takes 10 sec to show any light, when I switch it on. Is this normal? It's driving me nuts because it's a subtle thing and sometimes I don't know if I hear it or is my imagination. But in other occasions i hear it clearly. Any one with a similar problem? |
