Default Dead Faders

Anyone got any tips or ideas to try to fix a couple of dead faders on two different MC Mix units.
Both have lost their touch sensitivity.
One follows the on screen automation and the other doesn't move at all.
This has happened to a couple of other faders but they seem to come back to life of their own accord after a couple of days but these two have been down for a month or so.
Cheers

I had a fader go dead and contacted Avid support. They're replacing the out of warranty unit for $144 US plus shipping.

I just noticed a similar problem with my mc mix. The touch sensitivity on fader 1 stopped working and b/c of that, it is now useless. The motor still works though. Could static electricity have played a roll in the unit's demise. I accidentally touched the unit and turned it on (without pressing the power button). Initially I thought I was nothing, but then I walked out and back into the room and touched my 2nd unit and it did the same thing. Could a small electrical jolt damage the one fader?

What if this was the moment you realized you were some sort of electricity wielding super hero?
