Goliath Play version 1.2 not working please Help
i've searched and found that others were having problems with eastwest Play edition software and Pro Tools 8 as well...
EastWest say its pro tools 8 problem... i updated my pro tools 8 to the latest cs version and and updated my Goliath Play software... i still cant use Play as a plugin in Pro tools 8. when i initiate the plug in it opens up and freezes i can't drag or move it anywhere and i can't load any instruments in it. is this issue at least being worked on by Digi? or did i miss the solution somewhere? i dont usually post because i don't usually have too as i'm tech savvy and usually fix what little problems i encounter, myself. my setup is a dedicated audio computer with no internet access Pro tools 8 (with lastest cs) Modded digi 002rack intel core 2 duo 160GB system drive 500GB audio drive fantom X6 Avalon 737 Event monitors Structure full edition Goliath (eastwest Play edition version 1.2.0) |

Have you heard any update on this?
If I'd have seen on the Digi or Play compato docs or that it didn't work, I would have waited to upgrade rather than paying to be a beta tester... |

Hi there, im having the same problems as you (as well as many other PT8/PLAY) users are. You CAN at least get the interface working by trashing the preferences and digi volumes using the Digi support tools. Reboot, then open up a new session and try the interface. I got the interface working this way. But BEWARE, PT8/PLAY will crash within 30mins of using it with a loud buzzing sound.....
DIGI / EASTWEST.... GET UR ACT TOGETHER, I dropped big money on this stuff months ago, and it STILL doesnt work properly. |

Sadly, it's not just East/West but also Native Instruments too. I'd hate to have to convert a terabyte of nki samples just so I can use them in Structure until this problem is resolved. I don't know of a way to convert the Play stuff.

yea i tried messing with the rtas cpu count and lowered it to one from two. that seemed to get me a little more responsive but still unusable.
thanks for chiming in everyone at least i know that its not me and there is nothing wrong with my settings on my pc. hopefully it will be resolved soon... as i cant do anything with my eastwest play library ( who's sounds i use to use everytime i opened up a new session!) |

Its all a blame game right now... drop $300 on pt8, drop over $300 - $700 on eastwest plugins and support sits on their hands or gives remedial "support" that are temp fixes. Tell me again why Digi releases software that is NOT compatible with VI's or has this many fixes but announces to the world THE BRAND NEW DEAL IS OUT?!
A lil put out now that I went through the book of compatibility only to see i held up my end of the bargin and digi and eastwest didnt. lol |

I am a little worried by these threads - I was about to upgrade to PT8 and was also looking at buying the East/West symphonic orchestra... Then I looked at the compatibility grid here and couldn't believe PT8 and PLAY are INCOMPATIBLE!!! Looks like I won't be upgrading until they fix this. This is ridiculous!
