8 channel mic pre\'s
I too am bringing up the mic pre subject again...however I am looking for an 8 Channel mic pre. Nothing fancy just something that I can use with my 001 as well as a Echo Layla Laptop live rig. Something rackmountable, reliable, that doesn't add noise. I am wondering if anyone has comments or any experience with any of the following:
Arx 8-Pre (a little on the high end for what I am looking to spend, I'd like to keep it under $300-4400) http://www.arx.com.au/8pre.htm Nady PRA-8 http://www.nadywireless.com/products...s/pra8_pg.html SM Pro Audio SM PR 8 http://www.smproaudio.com/pr8.htm Rolls RM81 MixMax http://www.rolls.com/new/frame2.html Alesis Studio 12R http://www.alesis.com/products/mixer...12r/index.html thanks for your comments |

Re: 8 channel mic pre\'s
Save up an extra $200 and get a Digimax LT. Very flexible with both analog and digital outputs (if you wire up the inserts correctly). Very good conversion as well. One of my best purchases last year.
