PTLE 001 working with Reason 2.0
Anyone know what driver I need to allow Reason 2.0 to play through the 001. I have PTLE 5.01 only.
Also is there a way to sequence Reason from PTLE? |

Re: PTLE 001 working with Reason 2.0
I sinc up reason 2.0 with pro tools all the time.Open Pro Tools first.Create a midi track, select the "IAC bus channel 1" as instrument. Then go to midi on the menu and select midi beat clock=IAC bus.Now open reason. On the transport bar select "enable" for midi sinc.Next go to pref. and select advanced midi.select midi sinc clock "IAC bus". Also set up your OMS(opcode).Hit play on pro tools and away you go.

OK Bill
http://service.steinberg.net/downloa...c4223c12568e90 0506482?OpenDocument Download this ASIO Driver and place it into the ASIO folder that reside's in your Reason folder. Do a restart- You should be able to hear Reason through your digi box from monitor mode. Good Luck |

Re: PTLE 001 working with Reason 2.0
reFuse is the only way to go. I did the ASIO/Sound Manager thing for a while - PITA! Worst thing is, it ends up being a simple stereo pair through the Apple audio outs! For me, it made the ability to write simultaneously in PT and Reason almost impossible. reFuse gets me as many as 16 channels out of Reason into PTle - I can now route specific instruments and loops out to discrete tracks. This is exactly what I wanted the first time I saw the potential of the whole Reason/PT combination.
In my real job, we've been crashing a new software/product release and I just haven't had the time to get reFuse up and running (or write ANYTHING, for that matter). The holiday was just the thing I needed to do a little system maintainence. I literally got it up and running in about 5 minutes this afternoon. Everything worked like a champ although I see a little more RAM in my future. I hit a couple of bumps when I opened a fairly large Reason session. Oh well . . . Check out www.reasonsoftware.com. I don't work for these guys, I'm just very impressed that they could get such a cool little utility out the door with seemingly marginal help from Props or Digi. And it only costs $29! Off to play . . . K |
