Default PT 9 sample rate playback/importing problems

Just updated from PT 8.04 to PT 9.0.2. Running on Win 7 64 with MBOX 3. Updated to latest drivers after installing as recommended by Avid. Having weird sample rate playback/importing problems. Basically I created a new 16b/48k session and imported an h264 with 16b/48k audio. The audio seems to be pitched/slowed down. Same thing happens when importing the OMF for the video. Happens when dragging into the session and happens when using the import menu. Tried creating new sessions and importing different videos...same thing every time. So it's not the video or the omf.

Just for fun I created a new 16b/44.1k session and imported the video. Seems to be playing back correctly in this scenario, however I know it's wrong and therefore should not be playing back correctly. Also I know this would totally screw me later on.

I don't have an external clock, so can't check to see if that would help.

So I'm thinking that A: something went wrong during the install, B: there must be some setting somewhere that is set wrong, or C: there is something wrong with the MBOX itself.

I am about to re-install with the full installer (I used the updater to get from PT8 to PT9). However, if that fails to do the trick, do any of you guys have any suggestions? Losing daylight and patience fast. Thanks.

Default Re: PT 9 sample rate playback/importing problems

OK well I uninstalled Pro Tools, re-installed the Mbox drivers, re-installed Pro Tools....same problem. So I installed Asio4All so I could try to use my built in sound card and try to rule out the Mbox. Switched playback engine to Asio4All and BAM!...playing back fine. I think it must be something with the MBOX internal clock. Still, don't want to have to return the Mbox if I don't have to. I've also tried playing with the settings in the Mbox control panel...still no luck. Is there something I'm missing here?
