Default PT 9 trim tool TCEX artifacts

We upgraded to 9.0.1 in January from 7.x. I used to use the trim tool for time compression/expansion quite a lot with good results.

Using the Trim tool in the TCEX mode now produces noticeable artifacts. It's unusable. Not a 'tool' feature anymore for me.

Anyone else notice this? Does 9.0.2 get any better?

Audio suite TCEX works fine, but why have a time saving feature that is unusable, NWIM?

I never found that to work well in any version of PT. Serato Pitch n Time is way better. Sadly, though I spent the money on the CPTK2 and X-Form, Serato beats that too.

+1 for Serato... It took me over a year to find one for the right price.. but I'm glad I got it.. very even.

About a year and half ago, I demoed all of them and discovered that X-Form sounded best for time stretching instruments and Digi's Time Shift sounded best for stretching vocals. You can actually set it to Male or Female vocal in PT's Preferences.
