Pro Tools 10 won't import Rex rx2 files

My rex files don't seem to be recognized by Pro Tools ten.

I've tried importing in every way possible including the protools browser, standard file import, drag and drop from the desktop. These are the big fish loop files that came with protools and I've tried everything I can think of.

Does anyone know what I might be missing? I haven't come across anyone else with this problem yet.


I've been able to import .wav files with all of the above mentioned techniques.

I'm having the same issue - they play from the workspace but when I drag them into the edit window, I get an empty waveform region... did you fix this?

When I drag my REX files onto a track they don't even show up
It's as if the are not compatible files at all and I haven't found a fix yet.

Have you had any luck?

They need to be imported as region groups. Look in the "Preferences". I do not have 10 but in 9 it worked that way.

...and make sure you enable Crossfades.
