Default Grid Timing is shifted - don't know how to fix

Hi

In my current edit window view, I have a heavy blue gridline lined up with each bar. The zoom is set so that each bar is sequential , 1,2,3,4, etc. Each bar is then sub-divided into 16 sub-gridlines. All of this is fine.

My problem is that when going from bars 70 to 73, the numbers and gridlines for 71 and 72 do not show up. And the spacing between 70 and 73 is compressed, it is not equal to the amount of space(time) that would be correct if the 71, and 72 bars were there.

I am assuming that somehow there is a tempo change inserted, but I don't know how to fix this.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have Protools 8 running on imac snow leopard with a digi oo3

The best advice that anone can give you is to tell you to open the Ref Guide which installed with ProTools on your system, do a search for GRID and then METER and tell you to read the sections that cover those functions. That's really the only way you are going to understand what you are working with and what your problem may be..

It's on the menu bar under the HELP section.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help.

You give me a key clue, which was to look at metering.

I displayed the Meter toolbar, and found a little yellow meter marker in the corrupted area.

I was able to move it out of the way, but I have not been able to delete it.

Do you know how to delete a meter marker?

left-click and hold on the marker and drag it up.. Or, left-click and drag across one or more markers and highlight them, then just hit delete.

Hi

I couldn't get the drag up thing to work, but when I dragged across it and deleted it worked great.

Thanks again for your help!!
