Could not complete the Import Audio command

Hi

currently using Pro Tools 12.5.2 on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4. When I try to import audio I get the following error message:

Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/183141/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 603.

Is there anything I could do to fix this problem? Already tried to trash pro tools prefs without succes.

PT12.5.2 is not supported past os x 10.11.6 - that might very well be the base of your problem.

Besides that, I have been advised by a local Apple specialist that 10.13.4 is seriously bugged. His advice was to stay on 10.13.3 and wait for 10.13.5.

Besides that, a local Apple tech (and a private PT user) advised me to stay away from OS X 10.13.4 - apparently it is pretty buggy!

Did this ever get resolved? I've been having this issue for ages now and I've just been dragging and dropping audio to work around it. But now I want to import audio without sample rate converting so I need to get this finally sorted. Anyone else experience the same problem? I've tried trashing preferences and no change.

The only way it's going to get solved is to run a compatible combo of PT and OSX - it's that simple.

You can import audio if you drag and drop audio files from hard drive into pro tools time line or clip list on that MacOS system using PT 12.5.2.
