Re: Maxim weird behaviour
Old news already. They took the SSL E-Channel as an example. A plugin that already performed notoriously bad. They only saw instance count increase from 3 to 4 and that was reportedly the basis for them to not support AAXDSP. Traditionally they saw 100% gain from new DSP generation and this was a disappointment for them. It was fishy then and it is still fishy now.

Re: Maxim weird behaviour
Right.
But the way you worded your post makes it seem like they had recoded their entire suite of plugins when they didn’t at all. Maybe I just interpreted wrong. Regardless. Maxim still sucks. =P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Maxim weird behaviour
Yea, didn't mean they did all the work and then decided against. But they did port one of their worst performing plugins and even that showed some performance gain. So the decision was something else than technical.
We agree about Maxim

Re: Maxim weird behaviour
If you have Pro Tools 12, you should have the Pro Limiter. Use that. That being said, for not a lot of money, you could get a Waves Platinum bundle and have all kinds of tools for mastering. Putting Vitamin and an L2 on the mix will work wonders. Even a Gold bundle with the L1 will work great.
