Just bought Pro tools but now need to use PT10

Hey awesome Community,

I bought Pro Tools and am enjoying it on my Macbook Air.
It runs wonderfully :)


I would like to also run PT on my Mac Pro 1.1 4core 2.66
It has OS10.6.8 and can only run PT10

I transferred my PT perpetual license from the iLok cloud to my iLok which my Mac Pro1.1 sees no problem.
BUT Pro Tools stills has the Error that it needs PT10 iLok activation

Will my license i just bought not work with PT10
If not how do I get a license for PT10?

What license did you buy? Impossible to say what is included without that info.

Seems to have also come with something called Avid FalconAAX but not sure what that is for.

Falcon is a Virtual Instrument with many sounds and useful for some. If you already have 30-40 VI synths and samplers you could skip that one as it is only gonna work as mong as you pay the yearly renwal fee of $199.

So you bought a $599 full PT version and they dont come with the letacy Pro Tools versions so if you need to run a PT-10 version you can use your Avid account to send a request to Avid and ask if they can help you.

Dont know if that will work so you might have to look for a PT/9/10 bundle or a PT10 license used. They go for a hundred bucks or there abouts.

If you log into My Avid: https://my.avid.com/products do you have a Pro Tools Legacy section under your Pro Tool subscription? I don't recall if you still get a 10/11/12 bundle with new purchases..

iLok License Manager will tell you exactly which licenses you have. You need to see Pro Tools 10 there, if you don't then you don't have it.

New licenses have not had pro tools 10 included for a long time now
"Just Bought Pro Tools" would confirm that.

I've been waiting a week for Avid to get back to me.
Drag that I no longer get the bundle of licenses.
I wish knew that before I bought PT2020

I'm not having any luck finding a PT 10 license
