Default Mbox shutting down for no apparent reason

Hey guys.....Looking for a little help. Been using mymbox on my laptop for about a year. Just last week, for no reason that I can tell, I hear a blip on my speakers and notice my mbox is powering down. My computer is also frozen after this and needs a reboot. Actaully happened during a session last week and I lost everything. Sound famniliar to anyone? Any ideas what could be casuing this.,? Thanks in advance. John
