VST to RTAS registry error HELP
I've had the adapter for a while now. Lately I started adding free VSTs, and I dont know what caused this but, when I went to "detect and convert VST plug-ins" it started converting and then it said: "error reading from registry".
I unistalled the adapter and also deleted the fxpansion VST folder. So I had a fresh install. But I still got the same problem. Another weird thing is that when I re-installed the adapter, I didn't ask me for the key # (it always asked me before). Im using v1.0.5 I really think it has something to do with the fact that it didnt ask me for a license key# Or could it be because I installed Half Life2 yesterday? I need to use the UAD-1 plugs. I'm freaking out, please help. Joz

Re: VST to RTAS registry error HELP
This probably has nothing to do with your problem, but the latest version of the wrapper is 1.0.6
Email [email protected] for the update.

Re: VST to RTAS registry error HELP
I would also try to reinstall the uad drivers and install. They validate your plugins by fiddling in the registry...
chack out the uad website and the UAD forums

Re: VST to RTAS registry error HELP
thanks,
I took out so many VSTs out, and now its better. But not completely. When I "convert" it now only crashes (the adapter) but the plug-ins appear fine in PT, unlike before. So I guess I'm fine now. But it bothers me that it crashes. And all of this because I had a crazy day downloading every free VST I could find. Very stupid. Most of them were useless anyway. Joz

Re: VST to RTAS registry error HELP
The "Registry Error" is due to UAD-1 drivers... reinstall your UAD-1 and its plugs and it should go away.
Crashing in the wrapper config utility is due to one or more bad VSTs... only way to figure out which one is to add and remove them til you find the culprit |
