so far so good much better than 612 jaguar which IM upgrading from

I did notice core audio got worse example - pro tools was opn I openj itunes expecting it to come out my

internal sound card but i came out my 001 . when I get my cubase update in about a week Ill check core audio

with it . the only other problems I have had are cpu errors and this is when I use crystal

It seems very heavy but the system usage doesnt display it right because its only halfway when I et these errors maybe because its VST ?

anyway long story short 6.4 is more stable +12 db , and more efficient A+

why are you even running iTunes while using PT's? If I was a computer I would want to crash too.

It's running for me: 001/G4 933mHz/OSX 10.2.3

I love the folders for plugs! The only strange thing that I encountered was the spinning rainbow disk from hell when I tried to open a session that uses Mach 5. Anyone else out there have that problem?

I like the new buttons and I really like the red faders in record mode. It's like it was in PT5 I think the GUI is much better looking and more user friendly now.

Sometimes I get stange redraws on my screen when I'm loading up on plugins, like the CPU strip ends up under the zoom buttons...but all I have to do is close the edit window and reopen it and it's gone. I did experience an unexpected quit while trying to "revert to saved" this worries me a little and ever since being in PT6 I'm nervous about quiting PT while a session is open.."unexpected quit"? it shouldn't do this when quitting............'cause it's quiting right?..........but it just makes the platform seem unstable, like it's floating on the surface of OSX and not really solidly in there. Seems a little fickle. I havn't had a Kernel Panic in a while, which is a good thing, oops I probably just jinxed myself......darn! But over all I like the new improvements. I hope it stays this way 'cause I m on a 001 so no more fixes........THAT REALLY SUCKS! I havn't messed with core audio much in 6.4 so I can't say much about it, but I really wish it was a STANDALONE application..this integrated self gouverning core audio has it's limits IMO.

So far everything seems to be working for me...I am actually quite glad I finally moved from OS 9.2.2 to Panther... I don't even have OS 9.2.2 on my machine anymore...

Desktop G4 933 Mhz, 1.28 Gb ram, Digi001,

I have been using PT heavily with Max/Msp, Pluggo 3.1 and Reaktor 4, and everything has been smooth...

"why are you even running iTunes while using PT's? "

To search for and audition SFX files? I use it all the time.

I learnt it the hard way, did software update to 10.3.3, and protools couldnt start. Call my digidesign dealer and he told me protools 6.4 is out, downloaded it.....and it worked! No crashes whatsoever.

I copied the Protools icon to my desktop for easy access, it couldnt start, so at this moment i could only start protools from its original folder.
