ProTools Without Mbox
Here's my idea:
Digidesign produce a USB dongle (similar to the iLok) that allows users to use PT without the Mbox. It seems a little redundant to carry the Mbox around on days where I'm just editing or doing MIDI stuff. Plausible idea? |

Re: ProTools Without Mbox
This recent thread should give you plenty to read on the subject. I'm all for it, but I just got Logic Pro and lovin' life.

Re: ProTools Without Mbox
problem is,
most computer sound cards are 16 bit. so unless you plan to just mix in 16 bit 44.1 then that idea is a total waste.

Re: ProTools Without Mbox
I am just curious... what is it about Logic Pro that everyone is raving about? I know very little about Logic and am interested to know the differences between PT and Logic...
as for the USB dongle...I would support it... I do alot of work between PT and Max Msp... much of it does not require an interface... so it would be nice to be able to work anywhere... sg |
