Default Tempo change question

I am working with PT 7.0. In a session. After recording say a drum track and bass track. At say 120 BPM. How do I speed it up to say 145 BPM. I have followed all the PDF manuals on temp changing. My BPM counter in my transport window changes. The BPM in the tab bar changes. BUT, the song and tracks do not. What am I doing wrong. This seems like it should be the basic of basic functions.

You ARE recording MIDI data, not audio, right? It won't work with audio. It definitely works with MIDI

Make sure the conductor button on the transport is turned on.

If you're doing audio and you're trying to change the tempo, you will have to use the TCE tool to Time Compress or Expand the audio to the new tempo.

I don´t get why the audio can´t follow the grid e.x. as you change the tempo in the LE sequencer? This has been a standard function on many sequencers like Cubase and Logic since day one... I love the Digi software, but this is a major "error" which gets frustrating very fast!

WHY CAN´T WE LOCK THE AUDIO FILES TO THE GRID AND LET THESE GUYS FOLLOW THE MIDI ON TEMPO CHANGE?

Bless...

celemony's melodyne uno can do this. if you have the essential version (comes with MBox 2 factory) then you can upgrade for $99. You can time-shift pretty easily just by changing the tempo within melodyne. it will re-quantize your audio and you can output back to the original waves in PTLE when you're done. I've done this a couple times where TCE couldn't do the job.
