Default hyper threading ?

I have installed pro tools and most of it works fine..no system errrors or anything ..But it wont let me access the pt users guide under the help tab in pt...I think it might be cuz i didnt disable my hyper threading...What the hell is ht anyway? would that cause pro tools to not let me access things?

A bug in PT 6.1 does this. Version 6.1.1 fixed the links. You could easily access all documents by browsing to the Digidesign directory in Windows.

HyperThreading is Intel technology that emulates dual CPUs. I've actually had no problems with HT enabled running PT 6.1

This has nothing to do with hyperthreading - Digi changed the location where the installer places the documentation, and the PTLE program was looking in the old location.

Either update to 6.1.1 -- or read this thread.

I believe you're referring to the demo song that's on the Pro Tools CD.. it doesn't matter if you install it or not. It has no effect on the Pro Tools application.
