Aux track routing to audio track not working

I am trying to print audio from Abelton Live which I have routed to PT via Auxillary tracks. As outlined in video demonstation on Youtube, I've done the following

Set up rewire tracks:
1. created aux tracks
2. assigned Ableton Live plugin

Set up Ableton live:
1. launched Ableton Live
2. choose rewire as output
3. assigned each track in Live to a bus channel

Assigned Abelton Live signal to individual aux tracks in Pro Tools:
1. assigned the Live track to individual aux tracks in Pro Tools by selecting the desired rewire bus channel in the ableton live rewire plug-in window.

In Pro Tools, Assigned the Aux track output to a bus and the Audio Track input to the assigned aux bus output.

ex. Aux Track (output = bus 1/2) Audio Track (input = bus 1/2)

Press record enable on audio track.

result - No signal routed from the aux track to the audio track.
note: Signal is coming through via rewire.

Has anyone experienced this and have a solution on how to fix?

NEVERMIND.........
I just discovered that PT will not allow you to monitor the audio input during playback. I actually had to record the signal. Hmm that doesn't make any sense!!!! Is there some type of setting that I need to adjust that will allow me to actually monitor before I record?
