7.4cs10 authorization

i am trying to update my LE 7.4 software to LE 7.4cs10 ...i got it off the site but it is asking for an authorization code...ive never had to do this for downloads before...can anyone help me

If you had 7.4 working...

It's the same auth code as you used for 7.4.

Are you sure you downloaded the proper version of Pro Tools LE 7.4cs10?

I remember helping you in another thread where you seemed confused and posted in the MPowered section, even though you are using Pro Tools LE.

Remember; Pro Tools LE, Pro Tools MPowered and Pro Tools HD are all separate products that would require separate hardware and authorizations to work.

If you start with Pro Tools LE, you need to install the updates for Pro Tools LE.

nope i got everything cleared up and its definntly LE....i would use the same code but i downloaded 7.4 off the site and was never asked for a code

You have to enter a code for the software to work. Period.
Pro Tools 7.4 will not work unless you enter the authorization code. If you ever had it working at all, you MUST have entered the authorization code.

You would have to have been provided an authorization code when you purchased the software/hardware. If you purchased 7.4 online, your authorization code should be in your "My Digi" account on the Digidesign website. If Pro Tools 7.4 came with your hardware, the authorization should have been on the sleeve of the intallation disk.

i purchased the mbox2mini which at the time came with PTLE 7.3 ...i downloaded 7.4 off the site because i no it works with vista while its predacesor does not...unfortunately my version of 7.4 still isnt working...it wont even let me get to the point where i can enter an authorization code...but when i downloaded 7.4cs10 it got to the point of entering the code...i think its going to work...does this sound like something that can be helped

thats because 7.4 is a paid update.

looks like you're stuck with 7.3 until you cough up a few beans.

Did you purchase 7.4 from the Digistore? This would have been required in your situation. If/when you purchased 7.4, you would have been provided the authorization code at that time. It would also be on your receipt available in your online account at the Digistore, and also in your "MyDigi" account on the Digidesign website.

Any 7.4 updates that are freely available for download from the Digidesign website are updates only and would require a full version of 7.4 to be already installed on your computer.

Yes. All you need to do is find your code in one of the places I mentioned above.

ive used it before on a different laptop...didnt pay a cent...wish i knew how i did that
