Default Pro Tools 7.4.2 crashes on Leopard 10.5.3 / MACBOOK 2.2Ghz

I have installed Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 on my Macbook Dual 2.2 GHZ running 10.5.3, all of which are meant to be fully qualified but i cannot re-open saved pro tools sessions.

I am able to create a new session and save it on finishing the session but then am unable to re-open the files. Pro tools will boot up but when it gets to "building miscellaneous views" (as it opens/builds the session) it crashes.

This happened on the pre-release version of 7.4 i was using and hoped the 7.4.2 release would fix the problem but it hasnt.

I have uninstalled and re-installed pro tools and still the same problem persists.

Does anyone have any advice/solutions for me?

thanks

1. Did you do a clean uninstall of the pr version? If not, it could be the issue that affected that is still around. Don't forget to trash prefs/DDB's and repair permissions to.
2. Are your third party plug-ins bang up to date? e.g Rewire stuff like Melodyne Uno need updating. You could move the plugs to the unused folder and put them back one at a time to test this.

i am running pro tools le's bundled plug-ins plus the latest versions of t-racks and sampletank

will remove them in the morning and see if that helps, then post up on here again.

no change as a result of removing the plug-ins (which are actually qualified as compatible in Pro tools 7.4.2 anyway)

admin......do you have any advice. This is very frustrating as i bought my mbox mini in january when i bought my macbook as my mobile studio set-up and i AM STILL UNABLE TO USE IT!!!

i have always been a pro tools fan since getting digi 001 but am now being forced to use logic as pro tools have taken so long with leopard compatability (which i still dont seem to have on my macbook )
