Default Assertion in \"Cmn_Interval cpp\' line 103

Error: Assertion in "Cmn_Interval cpp" ,line 103
Hi , when i trying to compact the session if 8 mono tracks and 4 stereo tracks under 6.1 10.2.8
It says Assertion in "Cmn_Interval cpp" line 103 and when I hit ok, the protools progress bar telling "Analyzing region list" appears and PT freezes.
Any ideas?

Also having this problem with a client's system (800MHz Quicksilver G4, lots o' ram, OS10.3, Mix plus, PT 6.2.2. all pt sessions run off of scsi drives w/ ATTO card).

When using the trim tool on certain regions/tracks in a session imported from an OMF file, this is the error:

Could not complete your request because Assertion in "Cmm_Interval.cpp", Line 103

tried the following, nothing worked:

1. Imported existing tracks into new session
2. duplicated file of problem region (consolidated region)
3. did a save session copy... copying audio files and plugin settings but not fades

also, I could find nothing about this in the answerbase.

They imported several OMF sessions and this is the only problem one.

any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Sometimes bad automation at the end of the session can cause this. The workaround is to delete the bad automation at the end of the session by option-clicking. Time selection cannot select the break point to be deleted. Try this and see if it helps. You can try using import session data a couple of tracks at a time to see if it is isolated to a particular track. I hope this gives you an area to look in.

Thanks,
