Xmon Cue Input wiring question
To use the cue inputs on the Xmon, presumably you simply connect four outputs from your hardware I/O device (192 or whatever) to the cue inputs. But of course all connections are DB25's, and the analog outputs are in groups of eight which means you can't simply connect the analog out DB25 to the Cue Inputs on the Xmon unless you want to lose four analog outs for no reason.
The obvious solution is to take the analog outs and cue ins to a 1/4" patchbay, use breakout cables at the patchbay, and just plug in the four cue ins to the patchbay. However, I had been thinking about getting rid of my multiple 1/4" patchbays and going to one large patchbay that just had DB25's on the back.
Is there some other solution, a Frankenstein cable of some sort that would allow four channels of the analog outs to go to the Cue In DB25 input on the Xmon while letting the other four go to a patchbay via DB25? Or am I missing a more obvious solution?
