Default Recording MIDI & keeping the adjustments (knob turnings, etc.)?

Hey guys,
I just got the Oxygen keyboard; I recorded this part (on an Instrument track) & turned the knobs while recording to alter the sound. When I pushed play, the sound was just the last configuration of the knobs as opposed to all the knob turning I was doing. It didn't have any of the alterations. Any suggestions on how to record all the parameters or knob turnings?

Thanks,
David

It's called "automation" and it's a fairly big subject...

You're best bet is to read the manual...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Hi David, given that you are using Virtual Instruments there is a good chance that that VI will support Continuous Controller (CC) or MIDI Learn - Right-Click. These can be assign to the rotary encoders on the keyboard and when recording your performance these controls are recorded too.
