Aux Sends !!!!! HOW ???

Im running PT 7.1.3 on my Project Mix IO with no probs at all. was just wondering how u go about setting up and using an aux send?? i know this is a bit of a pathetic ? but ive talked to tonnes of people and they have all come back blank. so if anyone could help out that would be great.

The answer really depends on what you are tying to use it for. A typical scenario might be for reverb:

• create a stereo aux track
• set the input of the aux track to be an available stereo bus
• insert your favorite reverb plugin and choose a preset
• on each track that you want to send to the reverb, select a send to the same stereo bus and set the appropriate level.

That's pretty much the basics of aux/sends. There are a lot of other things you can do with them, so knowing exactly what it is you are trying to do would be necessary to give you specifics about your particular situation.

For instance, are you trying to setup an effects send (like the reverrb send described above)? Are you trying to setup an external hardware effects loop? Are you using the aux to submix some tracks (for instance, drums)? What exactly is it you are trying to do?

yea thanks very much. was just wondering as i generally use a mackie D8B and they only use aux sends not really inserts so thanks very much for your help.
