Default Stream Deck+ vs. Loupedeck Live

hello,

i'm in between getting one these 2, to use mostly with Pro Tools,
(and Logic, Premiere Pro & Audition)

-- Stream Deck+ with the 4 rotary dials, 8 LCD buttons from Elgato
--- Loupedeck Live with the 6 rotary dials, 7 buttons, and 12 LCD buttons

which you guys recommend? most customizable, easy to use...

and which has more user presets?
meaning users out there with templates already created for Pro Tools etc.?

thank you in advance for your advise!

I haven't tried the Loupedeck hands-on but I can say from experience that the Stream Deck + is a great companion for PT. The included programming options are vast, Elgato keeps their software updated with the latest/greatest add-ons, and configuration is a breeze. It's become indispensable for controlling my mic pres and monitor volume, and I also added controls for my guitar pedals. Certainly it could go further but I stopped there.

Eric, you create your own icons, shortcuts?
or are there templates, plug-ins out there?

anyone else use either or both of these?
can recommend, comment?

I'm using a StreamDeck+ for remote control of my MTRX Studio, emulating a DADMom with a template posted on the DUC. Love it!

I haven't used any templates but I did download a slew of icon packs. I'm on a different computer now so I can't get names but there are a few plugins I'd added, some for MIDI, some for the lights in my studio, some for other music-related tasks. The Stream Deck is deep, but not difficult to program.

i just ordered the Loop Deck+ as it looks better built, more customizable,
looks more "modern", colorful, better resolution, a little cheaper,
looks more solid, heavier on table,

and the knobs, even though only 4, have 3 layers, so technically it's like 12 knobs, just looks more polished, and the strip, the swiping for pages, etc, too bad. it doenst have 15 physical buttons.

also, direct from elgato, they throw in 4 bonus replacement knobs any color. $19.99 value. for FREE, so i chose RED,

surprised there aren't more audio templates, plug-ins, for Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper , etc....

can't wait, to play with it, and program

heads up

so i ordered streamdeck+,
and price just dropped, by 20,
just went on sale,
i paid the 199, will try to get refund.

so you can buy it for 179, instead of 199
and get the 20 knobs free,
so you're getting it, for 159,
not too bad

hope it's ok to post this, just wanted others to be able to grab a deal, if they looking to get one.

How's the Loupedeck working out with Pro Tools? Is it possible to get control of specific plugins?

I asked the manufacturer and they advised they have no integration of their own, so requires user customisation. Whilst this might suit some, I'd be looking for a plug-and-play solution to which I would adapt.

Considering Avid's approach to 3rd-party controllers in the past having to use inferior protocols, compared to their own hardware, this may not come as a surprise. However, I'm not sure if I read somewhere that they're planning to open this up. We do have Native Instrument's NKS, so I guess it's possible.
