Default SC48 Password Protection

How do I password protect my SC48 to prevent my console being used without my knowledge. I am storing at another location and i want to ensure it's not being used without my knowledge.

You can't, not from the VENUE software. There are probably some work-arounds that involve restarting the console directly into Windows CE and locking the OS, but they aren't supported by AVID and you might lock up the desk in a way that you can't do a normal console start up.

You could remove the hard drive (takes about 20 minutes to open the desk, remove it and close it back up), but that's pretty extreme.

Easy....Just write 'M7' on the case lid, or you *may* be able to boot into the BIOS by pressing the F10 key during boot...in BIOS it may be possible to temporarily disable the HDD...save and exit.
