Default Reinstalling Protools/Mbox mini

I have used Protools Express 10.3.4, bundled with mbox mini (gen 3) for several years with few problems.

I thoughtlessly upgraded the other day to El Cap and of course I got a message saying the protools wasn't supported. I then downgraded back to OS 10.8.3.
Now, however, I cannot get protools to load or any sign whatsoever of its existence.

My ilok is shows a blue light, and my license is active. I have tried different usb ports and rebooting.

I have tried downloading various mbox drivers, but I am having a hard time figuring out which is the correct driver. I imagine that is the most likely culprit - not having the correct driver?

Any help gratefully accepted. Thanks.
