Default D-subs to C24

At present all my 192's analogue outs are all going into the C24 via a D-sub.
As I'm not really using 5.1 at the moment I want to be able to use some of the outs (4) to go to other outboard.
Has anyone split a D-sub out into another d-sub carrying four and four separate xlr cables?

If so,will the C24 still carry the Aux outs ok, or does the C24 need all eight channels going into the back.

Cheers

They're just analog audio connectors. You can split them any way you like, just be sure to pin them correctly.

Nick,

Jan is correct. However, if you are planning on Y-ing off of a D-sub connector, I hope you have some talent, and if so I could probably use you.
I would recommend a patchbay. Regardless of what path you take, if you need help or need the cable and/or patchbay, I'll hook you up.(pun unintended)
