Default Scsi alternatives for Mix system?

Has anyone ever tried or successfully run say an iwill scsi card with the Advansys chip? (or any other type of scsi?) These are actually the same chip as the Adaptec.....

I am going to put it in a 7600 with a G4 400 upgrade card. Does anyone know if it would be possible to get a 40 to 48 track count from using the inbuilt fast scsi interface from the 7600? Would you have to run multiple drives? Even though the rate is only 10 mb/sec technically this would be enough......

Any feedback would be great.....

Peace
