recordings playing back at twice the speed
Hi guys,
I have no idea what has gone wrong, while using protools today every track I record is playing back at twice the speed!. I know the answer is staring me in the face but I just cant seem to figure it out One track is a bass guitar and the other is a MIDI keyboard using X-pand. I have a 003r running 7.3 Any ideas would be great! Tommy |

Re: recordings playing back at twice the speed
If you really mean TWICE as fast(bass is an octave higher), then maybe you accidentally recorded at half speed(I think you hit Shift-F12 or Shift-spacebar for that). If you mean it plays faster and pitched up a few semitones, that would indicate a clock issue like you recorded at 44.1k but your system is clocked to an external device set to 48k.

Re: recordings playing back at twice the speed
I found my problem, for some unknown reason I was pressing ctrl+shift+space to record instead of ctrl+shift.
I hate it when its just so obvious cheers for the advice mate |
