Line 6 Toneport
Got myself a Line 6 Toneport UX1 for fun to see what it would be like. It costs less than £80 on the streets in the UK and I have to say I've been blown away by both its features and sounds. I've been using amplitube for a long time but this baby blows it away. You can use it either on the same machine as PT's but I've chosen to run it off my G4 iBook and then run it into my G5 as a stereo input.
I work with a lot of great session guys when I'm in the main studio and they have some fantastic guitars and vintage amps and the truth is nothing is the same as a vintage amp miked up with great mics, but this baby is a great 'second best' for use in a home studio setup. Sitting in a mix it does a fantastic job and some people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Anyone else got themselves one, if so what do you think?
