Default Post Production Newb.

I'm completely new to post production and I want to learn about doing it with Pro Tools. I have some basic understanding on how the post process works but I can't find any information/tutorials/videos that explain what the process is in Pro Tools from the very beginning. Can anyone point me to anything?

Thanks, definitely some good looking tutorials there. I'm guessing these would be industry standard methods as well? Going to have to register on both of those sites to get full access though by the looks.

I only have a copy of Pro Tools first and I realize this is not going to be useable for learning post as a lot of features are missing.

What's the best way to go about purchasing a full version of Pro Tools? Is it ok to use older versions? I can't even find a link on avid.com to purchase the software?

I was also struggling with how to get a full PTHD system running on my home system without laying out thousands for AVID hardware. A colleague told me to buy a Scarlett 18i20 and a PTHD license on eBay, which I did. It works perfectly, and cost me about $1100 for the two. The caveat is that I am permanently stuck on PTHD10 without the possibility of upgrading because buying the license on eBay only got me an iLok key with the license, NOT the username and password associated with it, so I can't upgrade to later versions. I'm fine with that though, as PTHD10 was the last reliable version I've used. (YMMV)
