Default Protools is sluggish/lagging when recording multiple tracks.

When i'm tracking drums and i have like 10-20 tracks armed and recording Protools really gets slow and like takes 5 seconds to start recording (just kinda hangs up and does nothing) and same thing to stop. Any idea's to help fix this problem cause i'm using almost no plugins and it's a fresh session and my cpu usage is very very low.

This kinda of lagging with Protools it drives me mental!

I'm on a i7 3.0ghz with 10.6.3 and Protools 9. Let me know if you need any other info.
