Now you're confusing things - the phrase was 'pitched to a dentist's drill' and you're the one talking about a buzzing fly guitar tone.

As I alluded to before I think that phrase is just a figure of speech and doesn't really mean anything. Besides flies buzz at all different frequencies to begin with.
