Hey! I'm having same trouble. I think I have registered my new ilk with different mail and now it says it belongs to another user. Can I get some help?

Hey Guys,
same problem here. Is it generally possible (as we have several workstations), to create individual iLOK accounts for each iLOK and then link them to one Main Avid account? I did it like this (so different AVID email registration than on iLOK). Is this causing this problem? Anyone has a fix yet? Thank you |

I am having the same problem. It says that my ilok is owned by another user, but i bought it brand new at guitar center. Help

It's possible that it was registered by another user, then returned and resold. We've also had a few reports of customers creating multiple iLok accounts and depositing licenses to one while registering their iLok to the other. In either case, Avid CS would need your iLok User ID and the iLok's serial number which should not be posted to a public forum. I am having the same exact issue. I purchased a new ilok2 which I have been using for a while already with no problem for 5 licenses (Synthogy, iZotope..). But now with Pro tools 12 I can't use as it is apparently owned by another user which I wasn't aware of until now.
How to proceed? iLok has been a very bumpy experience from the get-go, this is just the latest of many troubles with it... but I have to use PT asap. Any help truly appreciated Thanks! |
