Default Studio Drummer Issues with Protools 10

Hi all,

I know this is an issue with Native Instruments, but just wondering if anyone else has had massive issues with using the most recent Studio Drummer and Kontakt 5 upgrades with Protools 10?

Here's my Native Instruments thread with the details. Like I said, it's really an NI issue and not AVID. As soon as they get their act togrther make Kontakt 64 bit PT11 compatible, the problem goes away.

And excuse the rant at the end. Really sick of NI's management of problems and issues.....

I have had good luck using reaper rewired in PT for kontakt. At least if it crashes in reaper the whole thing doesn't go down. PITA but it also let's you actually use any RAM over 4gb unlike running it inside pt10.

You can only ReWire the 32 bit version of Reaper into Pro Tools. This, unfortunately, still only allows your program to acces 4 gigs of RAM, not more.

Is that right?

Say I have 8 gigs of ram, if pro tools 10 is using 4 gigs of ram and I rewire reaper for some vi's, isn't reaper using the other 4 gigs that I have?

Thanks
