All these years, on Pro Tools 10 now and still no fix. Unbelievable.

It seems like the plist fix isn't working either. Anyone have any luck with it with Pro Tools 10?

I think at this point we have to accept that Eucon and Eucontrol will never improve beyond the OS updates we might get.

6 months since Maverick was released...
10 months since Logic X was released...

All this whinging reminds me of when a certain fruit based company bought Emagic and dropped Windows support and development entirely.

I wonder if that was Avid's fault as well....?

This is very easy - don't be such a slave to Apple.

Mavericks is utterly nothing to do with Avid and you know that Apple absolutely will not be assisting them one single bit, as Apple would prefer it if Avid disappeared.

If Mac users keep on expecting Avid to sort out Apple's mess then this may well happen. Apple will get their wish but you'll be even further stuck.

As for Logic, well maybe Apple should have played nicer when they bought it off Emagic. Sounds like karma to me.

Because when you use an Apple system your a slave but when you use Windows your not? What kind of selfish hypocrisy is that?
RME has their drivers ready before new os are released, Native instrument is super quick to improve all their software, Vienna Symphonic Library as well. It has nothing to do with a Apple vs Windows childish war, it has to do with abysmal AVID support.

You've missed my point entirely. This is not an Apple / Windows war, it's an Apple / Avid war that's been raging 12 years now.

And I really hope that Apple and Avid find a way to play nicely together because I can't face either Apple taking over Avid and turning all its products into iOS apps, or Apple killing Avid by effectively making it impossible to run their hardware or software on Macs.

New MacPro hot off the shelves has a new version of Mavericks and is not downgrade able even to the version that Avid are scrabbling to try and fix now. Go figure. It's hardly playing nice.
