S3 top row encoders...

I would like to keep the top row of encoders locked to the last selected parameter ie EQ, so that every time I select a channel the EQ comes up on the top row. The problem is that when selecting VCA's the top row automatically reverts to the top level (since you can't add EQ to a VCA) so that when I select a channel after I have to select the EQ again for the parameters to show.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this? If not, can this functionality be added as a preference in EuControl?

Can we please get a way to turn off "focusing" so that when I focus a channel to the Dock/top row encoders on S3 it doesn't change to another channel if I happen to select another channel? Does that make sense? It's so frustrating to have parameters up on a channel that you're working on, only to have them disappear because you go and make an edit on the timeline thereby selecting another track.

I can't find any preference to unlink the selected track from what gets focused.

I believe this is in your Eucon preferences.

Under general, attention most recently clicked DAW area.

You probably want to uncheck everything.

Also, you may want to turn off link track and edit selection in PT. This way you can edit freely and have your track selection separate.

Thanks Lynn, I thought i'd tried all these different combos but apparently not.

Here's what worked for me if anyone cares...

- Turn off "Edit Window" in the Attention Most Recently Clicked DAW Area
- Turn on "Attention on Select Button Press"

Sweet. Glad you found it. I still keep finding things as well and I have been using Avid products for a long time. haha.
