ATA Indexing - What drives?
Hello. Using ProTools HD 7.1cs10 w/MacOSX10.4.8, the install notes state that indexing should be turned off in Spotlight. The only reference to this I can find on the Digi website & DUC mentions downloading a utility called Spotless which enables easy access to turning on and off Spotlight indexing.
Question: Should the system drive have indexing turned off? Should only ATA audio drives have indexing turned off? How about Firewire drives? Info on this would be much appreciated. Thank, Fred. |
