I updated the FB thread, thought I would update here. I bought a new Tri Band Router, problems fixed.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think there needs to be some specific technical recommendations for supported routers. I know a specific router was posted in the Eucon manual, but that is not adequate for a number of reasons. People will want to know if the current router they have is compatible, people may want to buy a different router for other reasons, and people may want to buy a cheaper router, which is what I did. I was able to save $100 going with my router vs the one recommended. Now I have extra money to buy more sound effects

The problem is there are 100's of routers and they change every 6 months. Not only that 2 routers priced the same can perform very different. Sometime a particular router has default settings that are not very good too. So we could recommend a router that is a particular type and even has the same chipset as others but find similar ones perform very differently. The reason the Tri Band all bells and whistles one works great, is that its overkill. But if you have already spend a couple thousand or more on your setup, and use it for work then spending $250 on something like this to guarantee it all works together isn't that much.

You shouldn't need a specific router for a protocol to work. If you do there's a problem with the protocol, not the router.

Correct, but you do need one that matches the performance needed by said protocol. All routers support tcp and udp which Eucon uses but some are dogs when it comes to throughput.
It's like saying you don't need a fast Mac to run Pro Tools... But you do if you want large sessions and snappy performance.

are router's really bad at accurately posting their throughput specs? Just not sure why there couldn't be minimum spec requirements for routers same as computers.

ok, turns out problem NOT FIXED. Control app keeps disconnecting and re-connecting

I'm getting really frustrated. I've spent hours trying to get this thing stable. I feel like it shouldn't be this hard

I have the Fire HD10s currently turned off, just the iPad is on, and it's disconnecting and reconnecting. It did not do this before the major rebuild of the app

Can you connect the Fire 10 to the ethernet via cable, just like the ipad or iphone?
