Well welcome and congratulations for buying imho still what is the best solution out there when it comes to a PT control surface .... granted it has some minor downsides but overall it is a GREAT product ....

I personnaly don't think you have to worry too much about Digi dropping the PC for now ... even if they come out with a PC2 or whatever in the (I think not so near) future ... it will be supported for a long time to come ... at least I hope ... I would think they would have invested ALL their efforts in the (probably soon to come) all new redisigned 96/192 k pro tools hardware .... which is btw for me the only reasonable explanation why that scrubwheel thing hasn't been dealed with like it should have been ..... Thanks Chris. My feelings exactly re Digi's recent efforts and likely imminent hardware releases on the 96/192khz front. This was part of my decision process when I went for the Procontrol. It's kinda future proof in a way, handling only analog audio and functioning for the most part as a control surface, it should integrate seamlessly with whatever Digi decided to release next. (Fingers Crossed). Really loving the ability to flip the faders into DSP Edit mode to tweak plugins as well as using the DSP Edit assign rotary encoders. And leading on from this point, why is it that the focusrite eq plugins appear backwards, i.e working from right to left, in the DSP section and faders? I know certain plugins are displayed better than others with procontrol but what is the story with the focusrite eq? Is this a long standing moan?

Default New Procontrol User

After a hand full of posts in this section I've finally taken delivery of a Procontrol Main Unit and Fader Pack. It's a brand new unit and as such hopefully free of many of the problems detailed by others in this forum. Looking forward to outstanding issues like the track pad and scrub wheel being addressed and hoping to see action on behalf of long term procontrol users with older models and older problems. Has been a big investment and crossing my fingers it all works out and Digi don't drop Procontrol 2 on me in 3 months time! Want to get the most for my money and look forward to conversing with other users present soon. I just popped into the Control 24 forum to check how users there are fairing. They too have had there share of issues so don't get too down beat. It ain't just us! Cheers, Richard.
