Default The commit bug is BACK!

Anyone remember this?

"Pro Tools will crash the moment when commit is cleared from Undo History."

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=380793

Well, it's happening all over again, or it is at least on my system anyway...

Here's a little vid I've just made: https://www.yousearchit.com/w?v=5a7b34bfcb542

Anyone confirm it's also happening on their system? If so I'll log yet another bug report....

I can repro following your video, not when just doing audio edits though. Logged to Eng and will start a case for you to track it.

I guess I missed the set undo limit to 8?

At the default, it didn't crash. Do you keep it at 8?

I had a totally random crash yesterday a few minutes after I committed a VI. Never would have thought this bug was back. I'll see if I can repro it here as well.

if you also remember, before this bug started, we were able to Undo Commit AND the UNDO History was NOT Cleared upon an Commit ..

i would like to see this all be back the way it once was .. i have faith Avid can do it !! lets stay on top of this one !!!

Following the steps in your video and using Windows 7, this creates an access violation instead of a crash. After closing the AV box, I can resume working with no crash or freeze.

It happens when adding a series of MIDI notes but not other edit moves like dragging & trimming clips.

Will do a test on my W10 system when I have a chance.

Thanks for the user alert.
