Default Recording problems in PT

I am using PT 6.9 HD with G5. Every time I record something on a track then stop the recording it puts a region after my recording all the way til the end of the session. Have never seen this before. The region is right after my recorded pass and is empty like it is blank recorded space. Any help

Make sure that the Delay Compensation is disabled. I've had a variety of strange things happen while recording with this feature engaged. This may solve your problem. Good Luck

Hi,

did you limit the recording time under the Menu #Setups-#Preferences-#Operation-#Open Ended Record Allocation?
I always use 5 minutes there instead of grabbing all available space....

Hope that helps

best from germany

RCSS: If I recall there is a fix for this with 6.9. I believe I saw it in the Windows LE forum before.... don't remember what it is, but it is something with a setting from what I remember. If I see the thread, I will post a link.

Hanz: Nice studio man! Just was on your website. You know of any cool German artists that I could check out? Have not heard of many over here in the States.

RCSS - Have you tried all the steps in the 'General Troubleshooting' thread, especially the trashing of preferences and database files?

Which G5 is this? Which OS version are you running? Does this happen on every session or just one in particular? What types of drives are you recording to?

Any other possibly relevant info you can provide is appreciated.

It is a G5 2Gig running Mac OS 10.3.9. Have not trashed the prefs yet but will. It happens on almost every session and on every drive I try (scsi,fw).
