Pro Tools 8.0/Mbox 2 pops and clicks.

Hello,
My mbox2 has clicks and pops. I have heard it through my headphones and speakers. I have read this http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=193636 ; and the links associated with it.

4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Mac OS X 10.5.8

Pro Tools 8.0
Mbox 2
Lacie 500 gb 7200 rpm external drive

I have unbalanced or balanced cables that can go to my speakers, yet when all the monitor out's are unplugged I still hear it through my headphones. When installing the program I placed plug ins that need iLok in an "unused" folder. Could this be the problem, even so where would I find this to delete them? Please lend an opinion. Thank you.

Does these clicks occur without the external HDD too ?

Yes it does continue without my harddrive. I turn the airport off and also leave the power adapter unconnected.
