Default seeking Windows/Pro Tools installation expert

I need help. I am looking for someone in the San Francisco area who is expert with Windows 7 and Pro Tools 9 installations (and hopefully not too expensive).

I am trying to do a clean install on a HP laptop and I am stumped. I have legitimate copies of Windows 7 and Pro Tools 9. I install Windows and my RME UFX drivers and everything is fine. Then I add Pro Tools and the machine takes 15 to 20 minutes to boot. And then Pro Tools doesn’t work (except sometimes it does). Funny thing is, if I force the machine off (by holding power button down) and then power up, the machine comes up quickly. However, powering down again and re-booting and the machine goes back to long boots and Pro Tools not working.

I have spent hours on this, fooling around with msconfig and stuff, and I have gotten nowhere. (I should mention that I have better than average computer skills and I am a long time Pro Tools HD user -over 15 years- but this is not 9HD, just 9 and it’s on a laptop and.) Time to throw in the towel and call an expert.

Any recommendations??

After being sure the computer is compatible, you also need to use the Run as Admin option for any software you install on Windows 7(especially Pro Tools)
