Should i just get Cubase?
I have downloaded both PT Free & Cubase 5 Demo. I'm very new to this computer recording thing and its great to actually see wave forms of your music and do all sorts of things to it. After using both PT Free & Cubase 5 its hands down that Cubase works great on my computer. A crappy dell p2 300 192ram & stock soundcard that my cousin rebuilt. I love the clincs at digiworld(nyc) and all the products they had there. But it really comes down to weather the program was going to work on what I had, cause I am not at the moment any way, going to spend a couple of $1k dollars on a computer so the program might work. If PT Free Crashes all the time on what I have I can expect the worst for the real Digi001 PTLE 5.01. I would have wasted $1k on the thing. Still unsure on what to get. But it seems I want PT but I don't really want to spend that much right now for a hobby. But I love this hobby thats the problem. Maybe when everybody stops complaining in this forum and when PTLE5.1 actually is released and works then maybe I'll take the plunge and get a real computer and PT.

Re: Should i just get Cubase?
Yeah, this PT Free doesn't work without its problems, but I have worked on the Digi 001 and TDM Mix Plus Systems, and they totally rock! I rarely run across problems. I hope this might help a little.
