You're absolutely right. I misremembered why but knew I couldn't use it with the 2i4.

Drew's advice is correct, I've got it sorted, I just needed to set up a new Aux for the master output and assign the two outs to that, then use a master fader for each output so I can 'mute' the speakers when using phones.
