MIDI volume changed randomly

Did anybody have the same issue.

I have it the first time with Kontakt 4 in PT 10.
I thought that it was Kontakt 4 so i updated to Kontakt 5. In the same session it doesn't happened again but in another session right now it pulls the volume of the instrument the half way down. Just after 2 min of playback.

And now its was the mini grand from avid. so it seems its not wired to NI.

I will try now to set an automation and see if it will happened again but is that a known issue?

Before you do anything, open the volume lane for that track, (and any that it's bussed to), and see if there is not already automation written to it or to any of the plugs instantiated on it.

Thanks for your quick response but there was no automation. i checked that twice.

it happened every time on a different beat. e.g. by 16 beats...sometime on beat 4 sometime on beat 7 sometimes without.


now i did the test and put a fix volume automation on the plugin midi level. it seems to fix that issue. its no really fine but i can live with that work around till 10.1/2 for native users

I'm using Lion 10.7.2 and PT10 and not having these problems.. it's likely not a bug. I've not seen where anyone else is having this particular issue.

It would be best for you to troubleshoot and try to sort it out.. lest it follow you along to the next version.

don't know why you mean thats no bug (only why yuo don't have it or never heard about it)...

but its still there in some session without any automation.
it's sometimes comes up even in an clean new session...

anyway. if someone else had that happened ("issue").
just write a static automations for that whole midi-part/song. that works for me now.

Unplug your USB/MIDI keyboards.
Sometimes it comes from a defective pot or fader of the keyboard.
