Default Virtual Instrument packages

I have Pro Tools 11 and have been looking into Komplete 10... Are there any other sound bundles that you would recommend? I'm mainly looking into some nice drum sounds, nice horn sounds and some keyboards sounds like Rhodes and organs.

Pretty much any professional-level libraries you find will be for Kontakt or PLAY engine. Komplete is great bang for the buck, and you'll be able to use tons of third party libraries since it comes with Kontakt.

Is Komplete 10 compatible with Pro Tools 11 right out of the box?

Velvet for Rhodes is great. And Strike sounds great and is very musical once you learn its ways.

For horns, well, there is this: http://www.fablesounds.com/

Generally yes, once installed on separate fast drive and updated via it's "Service Manager"

Since you don't list your details can't say in particular, but Ram above 16 GB, CPU all count.
